Note that the order of the two "Space" tracks is inverted.
This show has ups and downs, but the Playin' in the Band is the real deal: It goes super-nova ... and then it all comes back together for the one-and-only Brent-era complete front-to-back rendition of the tune.

Real nice AUD., but show is only fair. So there is unique China Cat> Crazy Fingers> Rider and Playin' spaces out, but nothing really great happens.
...
Deal is the highlight for me. One of the better from '88, but does not come close to many of the '70 show or '89/'90.

I don't remember many shows in detail, but I remember this one. Hot and dusty! David Lindley was insane opening the show (great 'Papa was a Rolling Stone').
...
I ran into Jerry as he was driving up and asked him what the opener was going to be and he just shrugged and said "I don't know." This was the only show where I called the first five songs before they played (Aiko Aiko, Walking Blues, Candyman, Queen Jane, Althea). The sixth was "Blow Away" which I had not heard before. Ditto for the "Believe it or Not." The whole show is fantastic, but the real treat of all treats was the surprise (to me) China-Crazy-Rider. For years, I swore they did this combo but I never could remember the show and I am not saavy enough to search song lists. Found this show and it all came back! Wonderful mix of band and audience as well. So much energy at a time when the band was shifting from their 'angst' hard driving mid 80s (remember Ventura?) to the soulful, playful second wind of the late 80s.
